Experienced Project Manager (UK)

Do you have live event project management experience? Are you looking to work in a growing, international, fast paced, exciting and global business working with some of the world’s best known live acts and entertainers? 

We want applicants that have experience in the touring and live events industry, managing people, project management experience, and have a willingness to learn about laser and special effects and improve and have a brilliant can-do attitude.

You will be working in a fast-paced international business across multiple time zones, therefore we are looking for the following Skills and Experience:

  • Deep understanding of technical stage and rigging drawings and plots and the ability to interpret and implement

  • In Depth understanding of live event production equipment and its utilisation, ideally have experience with lasers, pyro or special effects equipment.

  • Computer literate, understanding of computer networks and IP address, able to navigate server systems and online booking systems

  • Attention to detail and analytical thinking

  • At least 6 years experience in the live events industry 

  • At least 3 years experience in the touring industry within a technical department

  • At least 3 years experience in a project management role within the live events industry

  • A full driving licence

As a Project Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with clients and working with ER’s creative department to work on a variety of jobs like tours or installations. 

  • Create technical plans and provide information for the show event (Vectorworks, AutoCAD or similar) 

  • Creating quotations and negotiate on pricing

  • Manage project budgets and suppliers

  • Create and provide safety information to clients

  • Liaise with ER’s tech team to ensure the event is delivered to the highest standard and meets the clients expectations

  • Will be required to attend sites occasionally to form client relationships (locally and internationally)

Warehouse Technicians & Drivers (UK)

As a Warehouse Technician your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring that the warehouse, fluids and pyrotechnics stores, studios, client demo spaces and office grounds are clean, well-organised and maintained. 

  • Perform driving duties, including making deliveries and collections to client sites.

  • Basic equipment and property maintenance and repairs, such as to flight cases. 

  • On occasions you may be required to help the Prep and De-Prep teams to test, maintain and prepare our laser & SFX fixtures, cables and power distribution equipment

De-Prep Rigging Technician - UK

We are looking for applicants that have proven experience working in a similar environment, have a willingness to learn and improve and have a brilliant can-do attitude.

You will be working in a fast-paced international business working to tight deadlines and last-minute changes, therefore it is important that you have the following Skills and Experience:

  • Good attention to detail, timekeeping and technically minded

  • Enthusiastic, organised and operate with urgency

  • Self motivated, professional and takes pride in delivering successful productions

  • Available outside of office hours, with a willingness & commitment to get the job done

  • Excellent communication and computer literacy skills

  • Minimum 5 years live events experience and LOLER National Rigging Certificate holder

 

We are looking for someone to;  maintain and ensure compliance on all rigging and lifting equipment. 

Ensuring installations using rigging and lifting equipment supplied by ER Productions is compliant and meets industry standards and good practice . 

 

As a Rigging Technician your responsibilities will include:

  • Ultimate responsibility for ensuring that ER Productions is compliant in the testing and record keeping for all lifting equipment owned by ER Productions

  • Own the maintenance schedule for all ER lifting equipment, ensuring that manufacturers guidelines are adhered to so that lifting equipment  is in good working order

  • Create and run a de-prep process for all rigging equipment which has been returned from a rental. 

  • Advise on best practice rigging solutions during planning, prep and remotely to crew on site where required

Fabrication Engineer (UK)

We are looking for applicants that have a willingness to learn and improve and have brilliant can do attitude; this role offers opportunities to move upwards within ER into more senior positions.

You will be working in a fast-paced international business working to tight deadlines and last-minute changes, therefore it is important that you have the following Skills and Experience.

Job description:

  • Operate and maintain CNC milling machines, CNC routers, and laser cutters to fabricate parts and components according to technical drawings and specifications.

  • Perform precision welding on various materials, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.

  • Review and interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and blueprints to ensure accuracy in production.

  • Conduct setup and programming of CNC machines, ensuring optimal settings and tool paths for efficient and precise cuts.

  • Inspect completed parts for accuracy and quality, making adjustments or reworking as needed to meet specifications.

  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized workspace in compliance with health and safety standards.

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on fabrication equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to optimize fabrication processes and recommend improvements.

  • Track and document production progress, materials usage, and machine status for reporting and future reference.

  • Stay current with advancements in fabrication techniques, equipment, and materials.

  • Undertake assembly of prototype units and assist in the build of small volume production runs.

Skills:

  • Proven experience operating laser cutters, CNC machines, and welding equipment.

  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and blueprints.

  • Proficient in CNC machine setup, programming, and troubleshooting.

  • Skilled in MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding.

  • Knowledge of fabrication materials and best practices for machining, welding, and cutting.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Commitment to safety standards and maintaining a clean work environment.

 Prep & Check-In Supervisor - UK

Purpose of the role

The Prep & Check in Supervisor position is one of the most important roles at ER Productions, what’s important is not only that the equipment delivers, the ER crew have to deliver too. People are the most important part of what we do. As one of the Prep & Check in Supervisors your job is to ensure that shows are properly resourced with the right equipment. Ensure the preps are set up and supervised with all kit and cable pulled and in prep bays ahead of time and the preps meet the standards set out by ER Productions, you would also assist the Tech Manager with checking in the returning jobs.

You will be working in a fast paced international business across multiple time zones for high profile festivals, shows and tours, therefore it is important that you have the following Skills and Experience:

  • Good understanding of live event technology, must understand DMX, ARTNET and data distribution

  • Computer literate, understanding of computer networks and IP address, able to navigate server systems and online booking systems

  • Have a good understanding of show and event power distribution systems

  • At least 2 years experience in the live events industry in a technical capacity

  • At Least 2 years experience working with lasers and / or special effects preferred but not essential

  • Able to demonstrate solid leadership skills and people management experience.

 

As a Prep Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the movement of equipment from the warehouse to the dock pre prep. 

  • Ensure all preps run smoothly and on time, that the preps have the correct equipment and that the preps meet ER Productions standards. 

  • Ensure that equipment and crew are delivered on time to shows, that all equipment and flight cases leave the warehouse correctly labelled, clean and meet standards set out by ER Productions.

  • Work alongside the Prep & Dock Manager  to ensure The Dock and Yard are kept clean and tidy at all times with all Dangerous Goods.

  • Work alongside the Technical Manager to check in the returning equipment.

 Prep & Dock Manager - UK

Purpose of the role

The prep manager position is one of the most important roles at ER Productions, what’s important is not only that the equipment delivers, the crew have to deliver too. People are the most important part of what we do. As the Prep & Dock Manager your job is to ensure that shows are properly resourced with the right equipment and are prepared to the ER Standards.  All preps are to run effectively and have the right kit assigned to them and ensure the preps meet the standards set out by ER and that all safety guidelines are followed. Manage the Interns and Trainee Show Technicians and ensure that they have the time and resources to complete their training program.

You will be working in a fast paced international business across multiple time zones for high profile festivals, shows and tours, therefore it is important that you have the following Skills and Experience:

  • Good understanding of live event technology, including understanding DMX, ARTNET and data distribution

  • Computer literate, with a good understanding of computer networks and IP address, able to navigate server systems and online booking systems

  • Solid understanding of show and event power distribution systems

  • Able to demonstrate solid leadership skills and people management experience and are Comfortable in mentoring / developing the ER Interns & Trainee Show Techs.  

  • At least 5 years experience in the live events industry in a technical capacity

  • 2 years of which working with lasers and / or special effects, on site as a touring tech understanding how to bring a live show together

  • At least 5 years experience working in a busy warehouse environment 

 

As the Prep & Dock Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure all jobs and preps have a Prep Supervisor assigned and they meet ER Prep Guidelines. 

  • Ensure all preps run smoothly and on time, that the preps have the correct equipment and that the preps meet ER Productions standards. 

  • Ensure the equipment has been assigned and scanned out to the correct job on our Resource Management Systems and that any changes of equipment on shows is logged so this remains up to date.

  • Ensure that equipment is ready to be delivered on time to shows, that all equipment and flight cases leave the warehouse correctly labelled, clean and meet  ER Productions standards.

  • Ensure that all prep bays and yard are cleaned and cleared down, that any extra equipment is returned to stock  ready for the next show.

  • Line manage Interns and Trainee Show Techs, ensuring employee life-cycle activity is compliant.
