ER Productions was delighted to collaborate with Italy’s most noteworthy mega-star, the multi-award-winning singer, Vasco Rossi, for a one-off concert in Modena’s Enzo Ferrari Park to celebrate his 40th anniversary.
Although ER Productions has worked with the recording artist on numerous occasions in the past, the show in Modena is the largest show infrastructure that award-winning British laser specialist has ever been involved in.
Having sold more than 36-million records worldwide, advanced sales for Rossi’s Ferrari Park show numbered 220,000, beating a previous world record set by A-Ha in Rio de Janeiro in 1991. The concert was also broadcast live on television and in 140 cinemas across the country for fans that couldn’t make it to the live show.
With a stunning set design by GIOFORMA and lighting design courtesy of Giovanni Pinna, ER supplied 136 scanning lasers and 20 smoke machines to cover the 100-metre long stage, which included 26 BB3 lasers. “In addition to the BB3 systems, we rigged 104 Kinekt lasers and six ER Storm lasers, both of which we brought to market last month. Vasco Rossi’s shows are fantastic to work on and his creative team are always eager to try the latest technologies”, says Ryan Hagan, co-founder of ER Productions.
He continues, “It took a whopping 17km of cable to connect the lasers and smoke machines across the stage and delay towers. Given the size of the show, our dedicated team worked tirelessly for 4-weeks building, programming and rehearsing in the lead up to Rossi’s record breaking performance.”
