Electric Light Orchestra Tour
ER Productions lights up ELO's hotly awaited first UK album tour in nearly three decades.
After staging a one off appearance at Radio 2’s Festival in a Day in 2014, followed by an appearance at last year’s Grammy Awards, the Seventies and Eighties super band found themselves back in high demand with Jeff Lynne at the helm.
Sold out in a matter of minutes, the UK Tour kicked off in Leeds in April 2016 and ER Productions worked closely with lighting designer, Tim Routledge and Lighting Director Matt Pitman, to incorporate modern laser looks into the band’s performance of iconic tracks including Evil Woman, Can’t Get it Out of My Head, Telephone Line & Mr Blue Sky to name but a few.
With a strong look and tight laser choreography, ER programmed four 18WRGBB laser systems and twenty-four moving head, GLP Impression Burst lasers – the highest number of Burst lasers the company has ever used on a tour.
Marc Webber, Partner and Director at ER Productions comments, “it’s a great pleasure to be working with such an iconic band. Given that this is ELO’s first album tour in decades, it’s only right that the laser production provide new and exciting effects complimenting their new sound.”
